Workshop Introduction to Astronomy


The Association Astronomical Málaga "Sirius" in collaboration with the Center for Science Principia, organized in March a workshop on Introduction to Astronomy.

Málaga The Astronomical Association of Sirius is a nonprofit association whose main goal is to enjoy Astronomy and outreach activities.

The workshop, which lasts approximately 20 hours will be intended for both the faculty and students and other interested persons who wish to broaden their knowledge of the observation and photography of the sky with different nstrumentación.

is a theoretical-practical workshop to be held at the Science Center Saturday Principia 6, 13 and 20 March and will culminate with an astronomical observation to be determined in a 10 or 17 April, where put into practice everything learned during the workshop.

Registration is open until 4 March, and has a maximum 40 seats. The course fee is 20 € per participant. Also, the bases of the workshop are available on page www.astrosirio.org.

CEIP Los Llanos Cultural Week held its thirty

In this cultural week, which has been held since 15 February, involving all cycle: special education, kindergarten and primary. In addition, during the week the students at the center have conducted workshops and crafts and poetry, can exhibit their work at the closing as a wall placed in the corridors of Los Llanos.

This initiative which was attended by many students at the school aims to bring together the younger members of Alora in the world of flamenco.

In addition, the village of Alora wanted to pay tribute to Juan Martos Morilla, who was a teacher for many years in the Colegio Los Llanos and also served as mayor of the town for a while.

The closure of the XXXI edition of the Andalusian Culture Week was completed with the participation of Flemish Painting 'Solera', a performance sponsored by the Culture and Education of the Diputación de Málaga.

Awards Ceremony regional phase of the V Olympiad Biology Spanish

The Awards of the Andalusian regional phase of V English Biology Olympiad was held on Saturday February 20, 2010, at 13.00, in the Cueva de Nerja, Málaga.

this year's honorees were:

First prize, Abela Guillermo Bermúdez of Almijara IES Sierra de Nerja, Málaga

Second prize, Gemma Martínez Laiz, Good Shepherd College of Sevilla

Third prize Trujillo Alejandra Rodriguez, Good Shepherd College of Sevilla

The three top finishers will represent Phase Andalusia National Olympiad to be held from 25 to 28 March in Valencia.

The awards ceremony attended by the Chief General of Educational Planning of the Ministry of Education of the Junta de Andalucía, Pilar Jiménez, the provincial delegate of the Ministry in Malaga, Antonio Escámez and the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Granada and the manager of the Foundation Cueva de Nerja.


the Andalusian Phase V Biology Olympiad was held on Saturday 13 February 2010 at 12.00 hours in the IES "Sierra Almijara" de Nerja (Málaga)

The participating students presented at the Center on 11.30 hours. At 14.00 hours
review and subsequently completed proceeded to deliver a certificate to all participants in the V Olympiad Biology. Afternoon
all present (students, teachers and parents) enjoyed a free visit and a tour inside the cave of Nerja.
The test results were announced on 17 February. The list of the results was sent to all participants via email. Appeared only in the list of student identity card.

The Council of Europe and the Pompidou Group (to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking) held the fourth edition of This biennial competition honors three young men in their projects for the prevention of drug addiction. A jury composed of 47 member states of the Council of Europe will select. Projects should be aimed at young people and include the development, implementation and subsequent evaluation activities. The prize will be awarded at the Ministerial Conference from 3 to November 4, 2010 in Strasbourg. The deadline for entries is March 31.
The award is aimed at students in grades 5 and 6 of primary school and 1 º ESO. Paints shall have as its theme the Monuments, Historic Gardens or National Heritage Resources located in Madrid, El Pardo, Aranjuez, El Escorial, Segovia, Burgos, Valladolid, Cáceres, Palma de Mallorca and Seville. The deadline for participating schools to submit the registration ends on March 1, being able to send the works to April 30, 2010.

consists of flat screen LCD TV that constantly plays a slide show with multimedia information both text and graphics.
