members of an organization created to fight for justice for women abducted and murdered in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua state, have received threats apparently related to the premiere of the film "Bordertown," based loosely on the stories of murdered women. Some members of Our Daughters Return Home have supported the release of the film as a way to publicize the murders of women in Ciudad Juárez.
On 25 May, several female members of Our Daughters Return Home received an email in which the accused to benefit from the film and threatened them and their daughters.
The message read: "kuler biejas Pinchis provided aserse already made famous with the movie buttocks Bordertaun. Do not continue to rob a well overdue mothers help, largense of Juaritos if nno like. Left in the Juarez pas we already have with their mother till the shitty kejas pinchis we were going to give them till the ass for pinchis gossip and exaggerated. Not a day ke choke her daughters were caught and are back in Pedaso. Giving them the fuck we were going to where it hurts daughters of shit, the bitch prinsipal Malu Garsia and ipocrita of Maricela. There will soon be neglected notisias porke desagradadbles. [Sic] "
May 16 released" Bordertown "in Ciudad Juárez. Members of Our Daughters Return Home told Amnesty International that in the days before, received messages anonymous SMS on their mobile phones, in which told them not to support the film, accused of taking money out of the situation and threatened to investigate and imprison them.
